Last week’s learner feedback

Reflections on learner feedback from last week’s training sessions, including Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression Refresher, Manual Handling All Wales Passport, and Emergency First Aid at Work courses.

Last week’s learner feedback

Looking back on last week’s sessions, it’s nice to see how people responded to our Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression Refresher and Manual Handling courses, along with a bit of fun on the Emergency First Aid at Work course too.

It was great to read through last week’s feedback and get a real sense of what learners felt about their time with us. The Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression Refresher course, held mainly in Merthyr Tydfil, drew comments describing it as both practical and engaging. One learner said, “The refresher course is thrilling and really dealt with the course with nothing more to ask for.” Another mentioned it was a “great PMVA refresher training” with a “great instructor with good knowledge.” It’s encouraging to hear that the balance between hands-on learning and clear delivery came across well.

For the Manual Handling All Wales Passport sessions, the tone was similarly warm. Several people remarked on Alfie’s friendly and knowledgeable approach, with one stating, “Alfie was great as an instructor made everything interesting and understandable.” Another said simply, “Alfie is a brilliant trainer made me feel so at ease and the course was not boring.” It’s nice to see that the courses are both informative and approachable, making the material easier to absorb.

Even the Emergency First Aid at Work course brought smiles, with one learner jokingly commenting, “Very good and very fun. Alfie was great. Do not recommend Geoff. I’m only joking Geoff.” It’s lovely when a bit of good humour accompanies the learning. Others kept it straightforward with brief but positive notes like “Good.”

Overall, the feedback last week reflects how our trainers manage to keep the sessions relevant and engaging, whether it’s through practical exercises or delivering the content in an easygoing way that learners appreciate. It’s these small details – like a trainer’s humour or clear explanations – that seem to make a real difference to people’s experiences.
