Develop the skills to teach safer moving and positioning of people in health and social care. Our five-day Manual Handling Train the Trainer course combines practical moving and handling skills with teaching, lesson planning and assessment.
Successful learners can deliver All Wales Manual Handling Passport training to their own organisation’s staff and to external customers. The course is suitable for care organisations developing in-house trainers, independent trainers and trainers working for training companies.

Recommended experience
Experience in a care setting and a good understanding of the All Wales Manual Handling Passport are recommended, ideally through recently completing the two-day Passport course. These are recommendations rather than mandatory entry requirements.
No previous teaching experience is required. Day one covers teaching and assessment skills to help you plan and deliver training confidently.
Certificate and teaching materials
On successful completion, you receive a certificate from Legacy Training Services.
You also receive slides, lesson plans and supporting materials that you can adapt to your own setting and use when training your organisation’s staff or external customers.
