Last week’s learner feedback from Cardiff training

It was great to see the varied comments from learners attending our Positive Behaviour Management and Manual Handling courses in Cardiff last week.

Another positive week of training behind us, and some really encouraging comments came through afterwards. The sessions in Cardiff brought together learners from both the Positive Behaviour Management course and the Manual Handling All Wales Passport.

The Manual Handling course seemed to hit the right note for many. One person said, "I absolutely enjoyed been under Geoff and Kristen’s teaching. The session was packed with knowledge and beginner friendly. I’ll be sure to recommend this training to anyone at anytime." Another described it simply as "awesome," while a third mentioned, "It was a good course kept you engaged." These comments suggest the instructors’ approach really helped people absorb the material and feel involved throughout.

On the Positive Behaviour Management side, the trainers also received some warm remarks. One learner shared, "Both trainers did good. Geoff and Garry bring good energy by engaging participants both intellectually and physically!" Another noted, "Amazing trainer, very well spoken and delivered perfectly! No wahala :)" It’s clear that this course connected well with those attending and gave them useful skills.

There were a few practical notes too, mostly about the room temperature and seating arrangements. A couple of people mentioned that air conditioning would improve the experience, especially since it got quite warm by the end of the day. One learner also suggested that tables or desks might make the setup feel less awkward than sitting in a circle. It's helpful to hear these kinds of observations because they can make a difference to how comfortable everyone feels during a long training session.

Overall, it’s nice when learners come away feeling they’ve gained something meaningful. As one participant said, "Overall the course was fantastic, I'm confident in the skills I learnt although I hope I will never have to use them." That sums up well the balance of practical knowledge and personal reassurance these courses aim to provide.
