What learners said about last week’s training

Last week saw some great feedback from learners attending our courses in Merthyr Tydfil, Cardiff, and beyond, with plenty of kind words about the trainers and the sessions.

Another good week of training last week, with some lovely feedback coming in afterwards. It’s always nice to hear directly from the people taking part and get a sense of what really stuck with them.

The Manual Handling All Wales Passport sessions in Merthyr Tydfil generated plenty of warm comments about Alfie. Learners described him as "very friendly and accepting" and "an amazing person and a great instructor." It’s clear he knows his stuff and brings a friendly approach that helps people engage fully. One said, "Alfie!! Knows his job and trained us great. Thankyou!!" which sums it up well.

Meanwhile, the Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression courses in Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil had lots of positive mentions for Geoff. Feedback like "Geoff was amazing, kept us engaged throughout," and "His extensive knowledge and experience showed" really paints a picture of someone who not only understands the material but also knows how to keep the sessions lively and interesting. Another comment noted, "Geoff is a very good instructor, I really appreciate his sense of humour," which goes to show how important it is to have trainers who can connect with the group.

We also had some kind words about the refresher courses and other trainers, with descriptions like "Lovely and interactive training" and "Training was interesting and interactive" helping to reinforce that even shorter or repeat sessions continue to provide value.

It’s lovely to hear such genuine appreciation. As one learner put it, "The session was nice. Loved it," which is always a great feeling to pass on to the team. We’re grateful for everyone who takes the time to share their thoughts and look forward to many more weeks of training ahead.
