What learners said about last week’s training

We had another week of varied courses with some thoughtful and clear feedback from learners. It’s always nice to see how the trainers’ style and the course content come together in the learners’ experience.

It was great to read through last week’s feedback and see what learners took away from the sessions. There was a real mix of courses, from Emergency First Aid at Work to Moving & Positioning of People Train The Trainer, and the comments remind us how each session connects differently with everyone.

One thread running through many comments was how approachable and knowledgeable the trainers were. For example, the Moving & Positioning of People Train The Trainer course in Merthyr Tydfil got some lovely words: “Excellent and both trainers Alfie and Geoff both fantastic. Motivating and energetic and really helped prepare us properly for the role as trainers of others.” Another learner simply said, “Absolutely fantastic training we will definitely be booking into more in the future!”

Emergency First Aid at Work also attracted a lot of praise with learners mentioning how interactive and fun the sessions were. Comments like “Really enjoyed the session! It was extremely informative. Alfie was excellent. Humorous!” and “The instructor made it a fun experience” caught my eye. It’s encouraging to hear that even such essential and serious training can have a lively and engaging atmosphere.

The Manual Handling All-Wales Passport Refresher courses also left a positive impression. One learner said, “The lesson was well paced and in-depth,” while another mentioned, “Kris was lovely and very knowledgeable, would recommend her.” These reflections highlight how a steady pace and clear expertise make a difference in these practical courses.

The Mental Health Training sessions prompted some thoughtful comments too, with learners appreciating how interesting and meaningful the course was. “Positive impact in me and full understanding in mental health,” and “Great teaching! Thanks,” show how the course connected beyond just the facts.

It’s always a pleasure to hear when learners find the course material both clear and relevant, and last week felt like one of those times. As one put it, “I learnt a lot today and it was fun and the tutor made it very easy for me to understand.” Another added simply, “Very educative.”
